With the support of federal grants, Connect Kākou is fortifying Hawaiʻi’s broadband infrastructure to ensure robust, reliable Internet access for everyone. These funds expand our network capabilities, facilitate statewide digital literacy, and help us connect remote areas.

Putting Federal Funds To Work

$149.5 MILLION plus $46 MILLION in state matching funds
will increase connectivity for individuals and communities statewide

$115.5 MILLION
will fund critical infrastructure connecting Hawaiʻi to the world

$90 MILLION
will go towards connectivity and digital literacy on Hawaiian Home Lands

will enable “middle mile” infrastructure improving connections between hubs and homes
